Intended
Use: Used for the transportation and
preservation of virus specimens in clinical collection.
Part
II: Detection Principle:
Hank’s
balanced salt builds a neutral environment; Bovine serum albumin(bsa) acts as a
protein stabilizer, increases the survival time of the virus together with
Hank’s balanced salt; Antibiotics have broad-spectrum antimicrobial effect; Phenol red is the sterile indicator.(pH
scale:6.6~8.0,show red between 7.2 and 7.4)

III: Approximate Ingredients:
Hank’s
balanced salt, phenol red, bovine serum albumin, Gentamicin, Polymyxin B.
Part IV:
Storage Conditions and Shelf Life:
Storage: 2 ℃~ 25 ℃. Under the
storage conditions, the shelf life is twelve months.
Part V:
Samples requirements after Collection:
Specimens
should be collected within 2 working days to the corresponding laboratory, store
at 2~8 ℃; if
not sent to the laboratory within 48h, the Specimens should be stored at -70 ℃ or below, and to
make sure that the specimens must be sent to the corresponding laboratory
within one week. Specimens must avoid freezing and thawing repeatedly.
Part VI: Instructions:
1. According to the Sampling requirements, collect the samples with swabs;
2. Place the swabs into sterile sampling tube after collecting samples;
3. Break the part of swabs outside of the sterile sampling tube;
4. Screw tight the lid of sterile sampling tubes;
5. Mark information on labels of sterile sampling tubes according to the requirements;
6. Detailed sampling methods can refer to the following:
1) Swabs for throat specimens: using dedicated sampling swabs, wipe the posterior wall of the pharynx and the sides of the tonsils moderate force, and must avoid touching the tongue; immerse swabs into the medium tube quickly, and then break the part of swabs outside of the sterile sampling tube.(This product is applicable)
2) Swabs for nasal specimens: Using dedicated sampling swabs, gently insert the swabs into the nasal palate in nasal cavity, rotate it out slowly after a while; immerse swabs into the medium tube quickly, and then break the part of swabs outside of the sterile sampling tube.(This product is applicable)

This
product is used for the transportation and preservation of virus specimens only.
